The live video streaming for my website is now working, so when I am in the pottery shed, you can see me making my work. If at first you don't see the live video, that is because I am not in the shed working, but keep trying and you might catch me throwing. Let me know what you think of it or if you have any questions, by emailing me.
I hope to shortly record some video clips of demonstrations of making pottery, which will be available on the website to view. This will be useful for anyone who wants to learn more about the technique of making pottery. I hope people will find this useful and also that it gives a good insight into the application and skill which is needed to produce the items I make and are for sale on my website. You can now view here video of me throwing a bowl.
I would welcome any comments on this video - was it helpful, what would you find useful to learn about in terms of throwing pots, what is your own background if you are a potter.
I want to record a new video, so let me know if there's something specific you would like to see me make.
Over the last few weeks, I have made dishes for eating snails out of, as part of a commission for a restaurant in Exeter. Also, I will be making 66 mugs as prizes, for the second year in a row for the national scorpion sailing champs in Abersoch. I am also very busy getting ready for having a stand at the annual Exeter Festival Craft Market on 13 and 14 June.
